Taos Flash Writers Group was founded by two working writers, one a playwright and feature reporter for the Taos News, and the other a literary editor and author of over 40 published flash fictions.
Flash is a prose work under 1000 words (3 to 4 pages), and can be fiction, memoir, essay, prose-poem, play, vignette, aphorism, epigram, anecdote, or fable. It can stand alone as a finished piece or be a part of a longer work such as a novel or full length memoir.
With a goal of helping members become successful professional writers, we will meet once a week for two hours (TBD). Activities include generating new work using prompts and exercises, discussion of craft and marketing strategies and critiquing each others' work.
